  We stayed Anarkali Houseboat with 4 families on Jun-14 in Srinagar dal lake, the booking was done through a travel agent by a commitment that this is 4 star property and everything will be great. but sorry to say that nothing was 4 start category, it is just 1 star houseboat. it is totally unhygienic and uncleaned property. no AC in the room for super deluxe . Bedsheets, pillow cover and towels were dirty and seems that they used same one for previous guest. It was same for all four rooms. one rooms bedsheet had lipsticks mark and other room bedsheets had many hairs. when we asked for changing the bedsheets and pillow cover the care taker Mr Azaj start fighting with us. The kitchen area so dirty and unhygienic. we found utensils , broom and dustbins at same place. In the same utensils they used to served food in the night. the attendant was very rude and unprofessional, he flighted with our families many time. for shikara ride it was complementary but they provide it in the night after 7:45PM, after sunset no meaning of Shikara ride but we had no option. near to houseboat it is so smelly and unhygienic. you will feel bad smell and bad air quality throughout your stay in the houseboat. curtain, tables and other furniture looks like never cleaned and you will find dust everywhere. Food quality and taste were really bad and unhygienic. our kids and few adult got sick after eating dinner. overall it was pathetic experience of staying Anarkali houseboat and we highly recommend not to book this property. rest other experience staying in Srinagar and other locations were very good except Anarkali Houseboat.
